personality
Apache Sunrise is the product of three legendary lines and those lines have combined into a fantastically bred filly of massive proportions. Just don't tell Apache Sunrise that. The minx of a filly is hardly the regal individuals her parents were or her grand-dam and sire for that matter. Flo will be the first horse to break for the mud, the first horse to find a fence to cut herself on and the first horse to dump her rider in a heartbeat. She is a class clown, a fun sort of horse until you make her steamed. The best way to get her annoyed is to demand her attention. Flo is only focused on what Flo wants to do. End of discussion. She is a powerful individual who knows how to wield her body just enough to cause the humans a headache. She is a tricky filly with a young heart and a mature frame. Flo was quick to grow into her form and she definitely knew it. Her self-awareness is incredible and her intelligence is something to behold. Reese fell in love with the chestnut horse, appreciating her wit and humorous side. Others may not appreciate the loose horses at night, but some good memories can come out of the unexpected.
A relatively good-natured filly on the ground, Flo makes a radical transformation the moment a saddle is placed on her back. She is pushy and temperamental, letting hooves fly when held under restraint. The stewards at both The Wire and Green Horse Fields learned quickly to allow the massive filly avoid the paddock entirely. She will relax on the great expanse of the track, but inside a paddock, Flo becomes tight as a drum and all bets are off. The Admiral's Revenge daughter flashes her talent for the audience while she remains their sole attention on the track. Her great strides cover the ground in all gaits and she is truly the flashiest offspring of the MHS Triple Crown Champion. She'll break from the gate a step slowly, sometimes falling to her nose. Maggie swears the filly has a flare for the dramatic. The second she gets to her feet, the long-legged horse charges up to the front. Her great strides allow her to settle into stride alongside the smaller front runners. While they take two strides, Flo takes one and conserves all-important energy. She'll gallop until the far turn before breaking the race open if possible. Her turn of foot is tremendous, showing her turf ability and her professionalism, as she glides away from those horses behind her. Her ears will prick at the wire, eyes gleaming as if she knew all along that winning would be a cinch.
